The House of Hope is an Independent-learning program to support their everyday life. Our ILP utilizes clear learning outcomes and multiple strategies to engage young adults in life skills rooted in Marlow’s Hierarchy of Needs. Each residential will have a personalized plan tailored to their individual goals that utilize learning goals, stability outcomes, effective communication strategies, and effective life-skills techniques
Housing goals are intended for the residents to navigate through. The life skill goal is the heart of the program that involves wellness and empowerment to ensure they have a clear understanding and direction as part of their independent living plan.
The House of Hope uses Marlow’s Hierarchy of needs model in the program. Each level represents the level of need that is needed to succeed. The levels are Self-actualization Self-esteem Needs, Love and Belonging Needs, Physical Safety Needs, and Physical Survival Needs. If an individual cannot satisfy their needs, they cannot move up the pyramid to meet additional needs.
